Redesigning the Website for Purcell Stowell PC
The Problem
Purcell Stowell reached out to me because they needed to retire their old outdated website. The law firm was in the process of changing its name and rebranding. They needed to change the domain name, remove some old content, and find a new consultant to help them manage the website after it was launched.
The Goal
Purcell Stowell not only needed the new website to reflect the new branding, they also wanted the website to look different than the typical law firm website. They were also working with a marketing consultant to rewrite some of the website content, get new imagery, and help them focus on a new look for the webiste.
The Solution
Working with the firm’s marketing consulting, the law firm picked out some sample websites they liked. They really liked some dark websites, but ultimately didn’t want to go “all dark” for their new site. So I incorporated some elements from dark websites into the design and layout of the website.
We also used some non-legal websites as inspiration for the layout and mood of the website. I adapted elements from those website to work with the content and to build a style for their new site. They ended up with the custom design they were looking for.
Because the website hadn’t been updated or maintained for several months, I decided rebuild the website using all new tools in WordPress: GeneratePress Theme and Elementor Page Builder. These tools gave me the stability I wanted for their website, along with the design freedom to design and build what we wanted.
The End Result
The law firm was delighted with their new website! The website launched in January 2022, and so far traffic has steadily increased to the website.
Purcell Stowell also engaged my services to manage their website after launch. In fact, I was told they don’t want anyone else touching it.
